1. Unpack your GW-1 from the box. The contents includes the gateway, an antenna, a USB cable and a clip. | All |
2. It is assumed that you are already an HM-1 or HM-6 user. If not, please set those up first and refer to instructions in their respective "Getting Started" sections in order to set up an account and get started as a Solutionbee equipment and cloud user. | All |
3. Assemble the GW-1 and power it using the cable to attach to a powered USB port. The cable and USB connection is only for powering the GW-1, not for communicating with it in any way. After powering, the LED on the GW-1 will be red. | All |
4. If you haven't done so already, perform at least one HM-1 read on each of the HM-1 that you would like to monitor and upload the data to the cloud using the phone app. Ignore this step if you have already been using the HM-1 and have uploaded at least one read to the cloud. | |
5. Open your B-Ware app on your iPhone or Android in order to configure the GW-1. The purpose of the configuration is to tell the GW-1: a.) The router SSID to connect to, b.) the router password and c.) in the background, the Solutionbee account the data will flow to. For instructions on performing the setup, follow one these links:

5. Connect your HM-6 to your WiFi router (optional). If you want to connect your HM-6 to your WiFi such that it uploads data automatically, then follow this link for instructions --->>> Android users: Connect my HM-6 to my WiFi router. iPhone users: Connect my HM-6 to my WiFi router. Once it is connected, check your HM-1 data on the cloud after about 20 minutes. New data should appear every 15 minutes. | All |
