Here is the process for taking an HM-6 reading with your iPhone from start to finish. In most cases, since the HM-6 is WiFi enabled, you will want to have your readings taken automatically through your WiFi router. The instructions for setting that up are in this other article.
In this article, we describe how to take a reading manually with the smartphone.
1.) Select the B-Ware icon from the iPhone desktop.
2. The software will open with the HM-20 screen. To change to HM-5/HM-6 mode, simply tap on the HM-5/HM-6 icon.
3. Tapping on the HM-5/HM-6 icon will immediately bring up the "Ready to scan" screen.
4. Place the top edge of the iPhone up against the HM-6 electronic module. The phone will beep and a checkmark will appear briefly. That will indicate that the data download has been complete. The download is very quick and should not take more than 2 seconds.
5. The monitor you just read should have an updated date and time indication on the Monitor list. A reading will pull up about 11 days of data on the iPhone.
6. Tap anywhere on the monitor tile, in this case tile 20000525 to view the data.
6a.) After tapping you will Summary screen.
6b.) VERY IMPORTANT: To see additional pages, swipe left the screen of the phone from the right edge of the phone screen. Do not swipe in the middle of the screen - nothing will happen. The swipe must start from the right edge of the phone screen.
The 2nd page will be the list of the most recent data points,
6c.) The 3rd page will be a simple graph of the most recent data points. It is highly recommended to upload the data to the cloud to see a much more detailed chart of your data.
7. Tap on the circled "i" for more menu options.
