Before installing your HM-6 under your hive first configure the WiFi settings and Upload schedule.  After that, view this article in order to tare or zero out your HM-6.

Live Data is a feature that puts your HM-6 in a mode that shows the instantaneous weight (and outside temperature) on the device.

Check out this video in order to see how to activate taring and the Live Data feature.

Steps:

1. Go to the monitor list and identify the monitor you want to tare.  Tap on the tile to bring up the Features Menu.

2.  Tap on Live Data.

3.  Tap the HM-6 electronic module with the smartphone.

4.  Making sure there is nothing placed on the monitor, tap on the red "0.0" button to start the tare operation.

5.  There will be a warning message in case you would like to cancel the operation.  Do not perform this operation with a full hive on top of the HM-6.

6.  If you proceed, this should be the next screen you see.  The weight value will be 0.00 or very close to it.

7.  Your tare is complete!

Live Data is a mode where the HM-6 temporarily acts as an ordinary scale.  To preserve battery life, this mode stays on for only about 3 minutes (the countdown in seconds is displayed on the screen).

Any time you enter Live Data mode, the monitor will display the current, instantaneous weight.  You can put several different items on the monitor and it will weigh them accurately in real time.

Press the Android Back button in order to exit Live Data and return to the Monitor List.
